last time the "O" show came to town , he dang near lapped the whole field ,but i think my local boys will give him all he wants , glad he is coming though as i am a huge fan , aught to be a good race..........

A couple years ago when Davenport, Moran and others showed up for fall SAS race, thrle locals held their own. Roszell won Friday night race. Talladega is a tough track to tame especially for the ones that rarely race there.

This is definitely gonna be the best group of drivers at TST since the Lucas race years ago.

thats the race i remember about jimmy , i am pretty sure that was the only time he has ever been to TST , he had that trick little brake floater on the lft rear that port city made for him , he kept it covered up very well , but i saw that little port city sticker on his car and wandered why he had a predominately asphalt company sticker on his car , i called and ordered a catalog from them and there it was , "special dirt late model lft rear brake floater" , i ordered one and figured out how it worked and ran it for several years , never told any one , but dont matter now , thats my best jimmy owens story..........

99% sure Owens was at an Ice Bowl in the Mach 2 car early in his LM career. Either didn’t make the show or wasn’t any good IIRC.

i was there all those years BK , i guess with no better finishes than that , he did not register to me , but he sure did at that lucas race later on , thats when i met him and came to know him , looking forward to seeing him tomorrow night...
