Just curious does everybody thats somebody run Integras with their Rocket. I know Bobby runs Advanced. Just seems like for instance Tyler Erb gets in the XR1 with the integras and shines instantly hes a real threat for the Lucas title. I wonder if Bobbys ever tried a set of integras, I know him and Cory are tight but dang wouldnt he want to know how the Integras feel considering the sucess other people have with them on the XR1.....

The mothership runs Integras. Any info that makes its way down the pike is going to be on Integras. I think that’s why most of the Rocket guys are running them.Comment

I think you hit the nail square on the head. The Pierce family has demonstrated that they are loyal to Advanced. I don't believe anyone can fault a driver/team for being loyal to a long-time sponsor, engine builder, shock provider, etc.
Two thoughts to follow up on that:
1) I do believe that Bob Sr. takes pride in doing things his way and setting up cars for Bobby regardless of what everbody else is doing.
2) I think that decision hurt them last year, especially the first half, but the more data they acquired, the more dialed in they get the car to Sr's and Bobby's liking.

Appreciate everyone's input. Just from watching Bobbys heat I'm convinced the XR1 and his Advanced package don't jive. They may hit in a certain track condition, but overall his car just looked alot like last year's DB car, push like a dump truck and skate off, while the XR1s on integras looked smooth as glass...Comment

Personally, I get Bob and Bobby being loyal to Advanced. But, if you are running an XR1, and can somehow find your way into the secret Rocket clique and get the secret info, you gotta go with the Integras. (Sarcasm) Unless what you have is working very well and you are satisfied with it.
It is early in the year and the track was real heavy. In saying that, Shirley and Sheppard were really good. Shirley’s save was a lot of luck and also skill.

Well I guarantee you advance has had a set of integra's on there shock dyno. We're the differences are I have no idea. It is obvious the xr - 1 reacts much better with the integra's bolted on. If the pierce clan is getting a deal from advance, that would be about the only reason why they won't switch brand.Comment

My opinion differs from most in that I think he was already correcting it when he got into Larson.
