The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series turns to Virginia Motor Speedway on April 20th, paying $20,000 for the 2019 King of the Commonwealth. The event is a points event for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series’ Southeast region and a “Bonus Race†for the ULTIMATE Heart of America, ULTIMATE Deep South, ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley, and ULTIMATE Northeast. Drivers in those regions can use their finish at Virginia Motor Speedway to replace a lower finish in their home region.
Last year, regional Super Late Model driver Tyler Bare took home $20,000 at Virginia Motor Speedway in the first Super Late Model win of his career. The King of the Commonwealth opens the door for regional drivers to earn the biggest win of their career, with a $20,000 pay day at the end of the 60-lap feature.
After his win at Friendship Motor Speedway, defending ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series Champion, Zack Mitchell leads the ULTIMATE points heading into the King of the Commonwealth.

Competitor gates will open at 12:00 PM with Spectator gates opening at at 4:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 5:30 PM with hot laps at 6:00 PM, Heats at 7:30 PM, and features are scheduled for 9:00 PM.
Adult general admission tickets $30; Seniors (60+) / Military $25; Students (13-17) $15; and children 12 and under FREE. Pit Passes (Regardless of age) $40. Pit passes will also get you a seat in the grandstands.
Plenty of free well-lit parking. Plenty of free dry camping spots (Up against the tree line). Family friendly concessions. 16" coolers allowed, no glass containers.
Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval track that is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA.
