He has nothing left to prove, and has said repeatedly he is slowing down. And he really hasn’t been up to speed at Eldora lately, so why go and pi$$ away thousands?

No one should lend him a motor, or anyone else for that matter. I think it was just an excuse though, while he don’t need one, it’s just easier to say that then I haven’t had the speed lately at Eldora and don’t wanna waste my time.

I think it was in 2016 they had a interview with him before the Saturday night show started on the stage. He said then it would be his time there. They gave him a plaque or something basically thanking him for all the memories, I believe he said the same thing again last year at the world. I'd say it's only a matter of time before he just stays away from there for good.

I hate to see it honestly. I know he isn't liked by a lot of people, but he is one of the greats regardless of how anyone feels about him. I kinda hate to see him not come back, cuz it's one of those deals you never know when and if you'll ever see him race again.

Exactly this, either he's not putting the real story out there. And, if they really have a motor issue and don't want to use that Ford on his site I would probably say it wouldn't be a good buy. Either it has an issue or its wore out.

I've always been a Moyer fan and would hate to not see them run Eldora, but it is their choice. Sometimes I wonder if they should dabble in modifieds, heck you can go run 4 nights a week for 3k or more in the mods. Phillips and Wendell have done it. And like a previous poster said, I am not sure what is going on with JR. I am a fan of his but some of the moves he makes on the racetrack, especially last weekend, makes me wonder what is going on in his head, not that it is any of my business, just odd. He can run really well when he starts on the front, but if he don't, it is trouble.

In the end though, they will be fine without Eldora and Eldora will be fine without them.

I'm surprised more than fifty drivers show up for the Dream. There is so much luck of the draw involved with qualifying that it doesn't make sense for the long shot drivers to show up.
