I heard his rant on facebook... a few thoughts. About the complaints, some are legit and some you let roll off your back. The cooler example, tell the person NO LARGE COOLER, leave it in the car or leave the track, your choice end of that conversation. People using foul language in front of your family, have security escort them off the track. No need to put up with that. REMEMBER.. the promoter can deny a trouble maker from entering the gate.

Track conditions... has sucked 90% of the time. After almost 5 years, nothing has changed. I can understand having poor conditions once in a while but it's nearly every night....unless it just happens the 5 times I go each year. ( WOO, Lucas, Ed Gibbons, couple other super races) I don't know how you fix it.. the promoter doesn't either. So get someone that does to help you or quit promoting.

Facility is great, large grandstands, plenty of parking, easy to get to, close to a large city for hotels and restaurants. Track has a lot of positives with location.

Over the years it seems it's always been something.. too much rain causes ruts/holes.. too dry caused the dust.. canceled because a rain shower popped up in Charlotte that might head to Fayetteville.. electricity went out.. too windy.. too cold.. he can play victim on facebook but you can't excuse your way out of being your fault every time. It does start to mount over the years and fans remember this stuff.

I also realize his wife has been sick.. I wish her and her family the best while they deal with that. Racing is nothing compared to dealing with the sickness of a loved one.

Yea the Facebook rant was something else, I took it as him blaming the fans and drivers. I understand being upset a people for language and talking to his daughter with rude remarks. The track conditions are the problem there I don't know how to fix it or what to do and it every promoter has had the same issue, the dirt sucks and it's gonna stay that way until someone comes in and really put effort in to fixing it. I wish him and his family the best with her battle and hope she over comes it.

What's amazing is the good, successful tracks don't have the same issues he has. Would Eldora, FALS, Knoxville, etc. ever close for those reasons? No. Nothing has changed since racing started...the good promoters will be successful, the bad ones will be criticized. Social media just makes the complaints more visible to people today but the same complaints have always been there. There are fewer good promoters left nowadays because of greed, laziness, and carelessness, which is increasing in general in our society. Most promoters nowadays aren't promoters of their track and the sport, instead they are hosts who simply open the gates every weekend.

Fill it with water, stock it with bass, and charge $2 to fish all day.
