Who will drive the CBR #5 with O'Neal now out?

Will be interesting to see who they choose and if they keep following Lucas or just pick and choose since points obviously don't matter anymore. There's definitely no shortage of talent available out there right now who could step in and win at the highest level right off the bat. Certainly Thornton Jr, English, Madden, Carrier Jr, are amongst them.

Our sport has a bunch of top notch drivers, but not nearly as many top level rides, so there should be plenty of options to temporarily fill this seat. The interesting part will be, can anyone win a race in a CBR car?

Who would be available to commit to running on the LOLMS for the next two or three months and be competitive? I would think they would also need experience running a Rocket chassis with success as well. The list of potential drivers can't be too long to fit the bill???

The 5 is a rocket with no success. Plus, kid rocket is on the team. I don't see prior rocket success as a prerequisite.

I don't like Madden at all, but I also think he might be a good choice to put in there and see if he can't find the missing ingredient in them CBR cars.

The missing ingredient isn’t in the driver’s seat. Everyone who has been in those rides either ran better before they joined up, ran better after they left, or both.

I think with Josh there, a good replacement until Don comes back would be Rick Ekert. He and Josh communicate well, Ekert has always ran well in a rocket, and I believe his ride is a xr-1.

english (young enough, has a wife that understands the racing deal, has a family that will back him up too, just needs a break), would love to see him get a chance but he needs someone thats all in, not just here and there deal

I personally hope none of the guys I root for or pull for get in the ride .... I think it has more of a chance to be a stumbling block rather then a bridge .... rather see a underfunded driver that's been around ... mabe towards the end of his career in it ..... just not the younger guys that are lookin for a stepping stone ... again just my thought's
