Got to thinking after I read the post about not hearing much about the Dome race this year. Which dirt late model race has generated the most buzz leading up to the event?

My thoughts, in no particular order:

Dome Race
1st Dream
Million
Bristol
Dirt Million

I remember there being alot for the 1st Knoxville Late Model Nationals as well.

Think pennsboro needs to be in that list also. To me, hands down, pennsboro. Those were days before social media and the place was packed with cars and fans every year.

Bristol had more buzz than anything I can remember including the Million.

Bristol, the eldora million, the dirt million, the dome, they’ve all had a lot of hype around them BUT year after year the buzz continues for the granddaddy of them all, the one, the only THE WORLD 100

Go over to Eldoras website and check out how many campsites are left for this years event. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them sell out.

In yalls opinion does the Dream get as much talk as the World Ive been to the Dream twice but I haven't been to the World

If your talking about most talked about events what about the Colossal 100 that was held at the dirt track at Charlotte seems like there was a lot of buzz around it

Bristol and the original million for sure. The Bristol deal was something a lot people wanted to see happen, and the same way with the million. That was the glory days of our sport too. I dont think there will ever be an event that'll compare to those 2 ever again.

Z nailed it, that was the pinnacle of our sport. The original million scheduled for October 2000 only to be pushed back until June 2001 built crazy hype. Then add 2 years at Bristol, 2000 and 2001 i don't think anything comes close.

As said above, Eldora Million and the inaugural Bristol. Case closed. .....that Bristol race, I still hurt for Balzano. Should’ve been his night.
