Your crew is also a major part of a TEAM. When the family b5 comes to the track it in no way is prepared as the valvoline team car. I'm not sure but I believe it's just him and his dad when the b5 pulls into a race near you. Big difference.

We can service and fix anything on car and hauler. We all are vollenter help and do it because of our love of racing and because of Brandon. The Rocket 1 team are very knowledgable and experienced and on the pulse of current happenings in DLM world. Rocket one is Brandon's job and he is excellent at it and don't tear much up. We try to race the B5 when his schedule allows and never assume to be anything close to Marks operation. We do the best we can and have fun doing it and that's all that matters

Exactly what you put is exactly what I thought. People who have been around the Sheppard’s, like Brandon, and help out as they can. Not, full time on one of the top teams in Late model racing. Not a comparison.

And Brandon's dad helps when possible but is very busy with family buisness. We aren't Rocket 1 but hold our own on most nights. Kind of frustrating listening to people throwing the B5 under the bus all the time. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

i for one think the b5 runs exceptionally well when it comes out considering the lack of seat time that Brandon gets in the car and the competition that it runs against. Keyboard warriors don't understand how hard it is to a. Race at that level in any equipment and b. How hard it is to jump between cars and run well. That feat in itself is impressive. I thoroughly enjoy when Brandon drives the family car it truly shows how much him and his entire family love racing.

My Dad was a electrician, I’m an operator, so I work with laborers every day.

By no means was I trying to put you guys down, don’t think you thought I was, but just wanna be clear. I just meant yours is a more laid back, family/friends run deal. Where as the Rocket 1 is all business and one of the top funded teams.

I think it’s cool you guys still try to keep the B5 going for regional stuff.

Brandon's family car just doesn't have the people to work on it like they need. His dad and Grandpa are some of the most competitive people in the pits, but the salvage business takes up a tremendous amount of time. He drove a Blue/Gray at the dome so he wouldn't tear up his XR1s. Sheppy knew it would be a demo derby.

Mark Richards knows that it takes a complete team with great camaraderie to win. There is no animosity or drama and they love going to the track. Which is a huge advantage. I don't know why other teams haven't figured this out. Bloomquist is an outlier and there have been several times where he's been successful arriving late and other times being late has bit him in the rear end.

Mark looks up to Bill Belichick and tries to use as much of Bill's non-football psychology/techniques for his team. The men working for him on the car are the best in the pit area, know their jobs and do it well. They're like an NHRA crew. Once the car hits their pit area, they're on it. Like someone else mentioned, Mark is the first the track and has a meticulous maintenance program.

Brandon busts his ass on the car, rarely drinks (hardly ever) and isn't (o(k-hounding around the pits looking for girls to cheat on his wife. He's the epitome of what a driver should be. I really don't know how anyone could dislike him.

Bshepp is a GREAT Driver, and the #1 Car is prepared to exacting standards, that equals a lot of wining. Not a lot to figure out from there.
