Disappointed

Just watched the Heats last night from I80. DOD has cut them both back to around 5 minutes long. Didn’t show much of each heat from either round in either video. I’ve noticed the editing on a lot of there stuff has been different lately. Only really showing the highlights of the race. I personally am not a fan and disappointed in who made the that decision. What’s yalls thoughts.

As the political power in DLM racing has been more concentrated in the hands of fewer people, the sport has become much less enjoyable for me. This is an example, but honestly of little significance compared to what has happened with the cars themselves, and the racing, as a result.

I don't think he is upset with DoD. He is upset that DoD has been asked to show less by the sanction body who has their own video outlet.

I-80 might be on FB but you have to find someone sending the video. They don't advertise it, done by individuals. I did see all the lates and mod races, 7 heats, fast dash, a couple B-mains and 2 features. Mostly watched because race had a lot of drivers from my area. The Carpenters, Hawkins, Dohm, Montgomery. Might buy I-80 tonight, wasn't paying to watch heats. Not a fan of passing points, inverts, and dashes.

I honestly don’t see how people can complain at all with this. I bought the Thursday event for thirty bucks. Since then, I have watched about 6 races in the archives that I have not seen yet from the last couple years. I have now spent this morning watching the full event from last night after not paying a penny for it.

Have I always had access to this archive area and just didn’t know or is it only available for a day or two after buying a live event?

It has always been available it used to be hard to find.

I’m just surprised because I’m not even a current subscriber. But it appears I can watch all the races in full the next day, Crown Jewels and everything, without paying anything at all. What’s the incentive then to actually subscribe? All I think I’m missing is those brief recaps.

Im with ya on the passing point system, particularly the system that I80 is using!

I believe if you start on the front row and win you should get maximum points. I have seen some tracks do it this way!
