Bloomquist using Chevy?

Junghans had a D3 head Ford at Deer Creek and Cedar Lake. As I recall he had a Cornett Thunder engine .

I may be wrong on the d3/ry45 part but his engines are most definitely come from Clements

I saw a number of Clement built Chevys at Cedar Lake , but I don't recall seeing any Clement built Fords. I will have to look at the engine in Chases car at the next race. Chase did not have the hood off his car so I could only see the engine heads. I will have to see if he indeed does have a Clement built Ford engine.

Is it me or does it seem like a variety of engines have won the big races throughout the country this season?. After a few years of saying you had to have a Durham built engine to win a crown jewel event we have seen Clements, Cornett, Pro Power, Vic Hill, Jay D*ckens and now a Custom built engine win a big money event, Personally I like seeing various engine builders get a piece of the limelight. It is good for the sport in my opinion.

custom has been around for years, and they have won alot of big races before also, they have just been the sleeping giant in the room,

we did a 390 cid (big bore short stroke) ford a while back with edelbrock victor heads that is very good on a slick track , cam selection is tricky though because these were originally designed more toward drag racing , the engine was about 30 lbs lighter than the canted valve engine,s ....

I clicked on the banner for Custom one day a while backinstead of the story I wanted to read while browsing DOD. I looked around the site for a bit. They had a 482 c.i. engine listed on the site at the time,but I don't see it now. The biggest I could find now is "only" 466 c.i. Wow...

It seems not long ago 434 c.i. was almost unheard of.

Vinney said it was a Clement's when I asked if it was RY or D3. In fact he noted the Clements doesn't build many fords.

Wait, Bloomquist isn't really back???

That's what I was thinking too but a couple people told me I was way wrong about that.
