The most wonderful time of the year is upon us. (IMO anyway..)
For me, these next 30 days will be the same feeling that my kids get when the wife breaks out the Christmas Tree after Thanksgiving. Agonizing anxiety about the best day/weekend of the year taking forever to get here.

With that said, there is bound to be some 4mers making their first ever trip to the BIG E. Lets use this thread to share some of the ritual things that you and/or your crew does, or you would suggest a first timer to do.

Also.. is there something that you would like to see Eldora do, or stop doing that you think would be beneficial?

My suggestion is that a first timer go to the concession stand as early as you get there. Get you a serving of cheese balls and a cold beer. Its possibly my favorite snack of the year, and likely what ill request as my last meal if I am ever on death row.

Secondly, don't miss the heat races! A lot of fans get caught up with wanting to go to the pits early. While I HIGHLY suggest spending the extra $5 for a pit pass, wait till the Bmains to watch races from the infield. Then go stand at the middle of turns 1/2 or the entrance of turn 3. Will give you a whole new respect for the speed they carry around that place. Its ok if you flinch or hold your breath a little.. lol

Lastly, I would like to see Eldora throw some money at qualifying. Like maybe $2500 to the weekend over all quick time and $500 for second. or just $1500 for fast time each day. Not that anyone "mails it in" at Eldora, but it may help a few of the guys who always seem to qualify good and not end up with a lot to show for the weekend. (I haven't done any research to verify, but a few that come to mind are guys like Fergy, Chris Simpson, etc...)

havent watched an NFL game start to finish in years, haven't been to a live NFL game since the panthers inaugural season........Screw those overpaid whiners and all of their handlers....the game they play isn't even recognizable to me anymore.
