Ziegler really earned that win....Fantastic battle between him Weiss most of the night. Ziegler banged the outside wall several times and was determined to keep Weiss from getting his first WoO win. For a half mile track, Port Royal never disappoints with both the sprint cars and late models. Well worth the 250 mile round trip for me.

Loosegrip, I agree 100% about those two and provisionals. It must be different on the WoO late model side, because on the sprint car side, a driver only gets X amount of provisonals, and when you have used them up.....you are packing up the hauler and watching the feature from the stands like the rest of the fans.

Emergency provisionals are limited. Points provisionals are not.Originally posted by BTExpress View PostLoosegrip, I agree 100% about those two and provisionals. Thanks for the clarification. That almost seems backwards, really, a field of 10 cars in the WoOs regulars and usually the top six-eight in points make up the front four to six rows in the feature. Then comes the consi (usually) and like the Grove and Port Royal and many others and Larson and Spenser can't even race their way in through the consi over the regulars. Literally anyone could run the WoO tour and make each and every show. What's up with that? Prestige of running a tour has gone down the drain because of these two guys.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View PostEmergency provisionals are limited. Points provisionals are not.

I just said the same thing to friends about it being worth the trip. Easy 6 1/2 to 7 hr. round trip for me but Port Royal does it right. Easily one of the top 5 dirt tracks around.Originally posted by BTExpress View PostZiegler really earned that win....Fantastic battle between him Weiss most of the night. Port Royal continues to reinvest into the facility. Every time I go, I see something new....Last night was an all new high catch fence in turn 3. Took a friend last night who had never been to a dirt track before. I didn't set any expectations, I figured the racing and the track would speak for themselves. On the way home, I asked what he thought? He was hooked and asked when I could take him to another race....... A new instant fan!Last edited by BTExpress; 08-18-2019, 09:09 PM.
