That's in Luxemburg, WI. east of Green Bay.Originally posted by rdcllk View PostName Krooser. Track Luxumberg speedway. Location.

I brought that joint back from the dead in '87 and made some good money the first year.
But I butted heads with the fair board the next year over insurance and a $8,000 water bill and I left. Had to steal my PA system, lighting and even the 30' flagpole after bar time one Saturday nite.
Must have looked funny seeing that flagpole strapped to the side of my '55 Ford F350 going down the highway at 3am!
It's now in front of my old house one block away from my living room. I can salute Old Glory on every holiday as the new owner loves to fly the flag.Last edited by Krooser; 10-14-2019, 01:08 PM.Member of the Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Fame

Batesville getting mentioned made me kinda laugh. Place is cool and Starr is a great guy but when I went to the topless in 2013 I thought it was pretty pathetic on Saturday night they tryed packing the track after the rain with only 2 little atvs for like 4 hrs with Obviously not getting anywhere then calling it until Sunday afternoon for a huge 40$k Lucas show u should have your s—t together better than that just my thoughts

Surprised no one went with Jones-Roaring Knob or Miley-PPMS. Oh right, best promoter. King-Port Royal and McCown-Atomic tops in my eyes.

Dan Robinson, Lucas Oil Speedway, Missouri,,,,,another vote for the Kosiskis, I80, Nebraska and the Queenslands, Deer Creek, Minnesota. And if you want to see a show run promptly take in one of Mike Van Gendrens tracks in Iowa. Toby Kruse, Marshalltown, IA may provide some of the very best racing that not a lot of people outside of Iowa ever heard of.I hate time trials.

Sadly there are more bad ones than good ones. Especially in the Ohio Valley region.

I always thought Roger Slack did a nice job as a promoter. Although technically he's a general manager now at Eldora he still does a great job of running the racetrack professionally. When you call the track somebody answers. Buying tickets and camping is easy. Everything is run professionally. He did a great job of promoting the Dirt Track at Charlotte too even though they were struggling with their track at times throughout his tenure.

No particular order
Port Royal, Willoughby and the owners at Sharon(major improvements), McCown at Atomic, Slack and Fat Tony at Eldora, Matt Curl-FALS, King’s at Florence, Smoky Mountain guy, I80-Kosiski’s, Long at Fayetteville has tried so hard, just think the track is a turd.
Fallen from grace, Lernerville.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.
