WOO LMS ----- Dirty Dozen..... How the Dirty Dozen 12 came about??

I've heard a few stories on this since the second coming to the WOO LMS in the early 2000's.
One I keep hearing is Hoosier signed 12 drivers to a Hoosier tire only contract.
Another is Bloomquist was challenged to find 12 of the best (including him self) dirt late model drivers and WOO would sanction them.

What's the real story on this anyone remember how the second coming of the series came about?

I do remember hearing Bloomquist name being involved some how.

Many of the top teams were married to Hoosier, and with Doug Bland signing his Xtreme Series with Goodyear, the WoO's returned to belittle the Goodyear backed operation.

I’ve always heard the primary driving forces behind the WoO were Scott Bloomquist and Mark Richards.

There were a few changes that came about around that time. Goodyear was once the tire of choice on the WOO sprint circuit and Hoosier made a move into Nascar Winston Cup. When the tire war reached a cease fire Goodyear was the official tire of Nascar, Hoosier suddenly became the tire of choice in sprints and WOO had a late model series. And everyone lived happily ever after.

One thing that stood out to me with those tars was how ugly they made the cars look with that bright yellow lettering. Jimmy Mars stacker 2 car is probably still one of the ugliest cars to date. Those Goodyears just took it to another level IMO.
