Talked to promotor Tom Whipple tonight. He was pretty excited as he had a good field of cars practicing for tomorrow’s night race. Like a great promoter he even ran the practice a little long so everybody that wanted to get the extra practice to tune their car in got it! Saturday night is the race everyone want to win!! The Benny Corbin Memorial Race. It’s probably one of the best races all season long at Volusia. Named after the guy that was the cornerstone of the track. Racing starts at 7:30 with gates opening at 4 tomorrow night with 5 classes on the card. It’s also the final night of the Florida Late Model series points. If you can’t be there in person catch it on the internet at Speedshifttv.com for only $20. Who will take home the honors and the $5000 spoils that goes with it?

Should be a great race though as long as the track is right. Some pretty strong drivers and cars in the thinderstock class.Comment
