Bill Simpson RIP

I haven't seen anyone create a thread on this yet. Bill Simpson passed away on Dec 16 after suffering a stroke the previous Friday. He was 79.

Dang. Didn’t see it anywhere. He did so much for racing. Shame things went South for him, dunno what the exact details were in all that. Just that he did a lot for racing.

A man who did so much for the sport and for driver safety with his innovations and products. I still remember how NASCAR tried to throw him under the bus after Dale Earnhardt's death....He sold his company shortly after, but came back and started Impact Racing Products which he also sold years later. RIP Bill.

My son had one of his football helmets about 7 years ago. Innobator indeed!
