UMP Fall Nationals move to Lincoln (IL) Speedway in 2020.

According to couple of people who attended the Midwest Speed Expo today in Springfield, Illinois the UMP Fall Nationals move to the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois for the 2020 season.

I think that is a good move as Lincoln is more central to where most of the UMP drivers are.

I had heard that but figured it was just a rumor. Excellent news if true.

I was told by a very reputable source that it is true.

Lincoln was in line to get it when it moved from Eldora to I55. There was a planned wedding for the weekend and the couple was offered money to change dates but, they refused so, it moved to I55.

Lincoln is a great track. Went to the Summernationals makeup. Enjoyed it.

What are the dates? Is this the same weekend of the FALS frenzy?

I am assuming it will be this weekend of October 2-3. Would be very stupid to do it on same weekend as FALS Frenzy.

Agree. Just going off of what I had see from a few drivers posting about it

Well that stinks. Why not have it the week before the FALS Frenzy like it has been in the past. Also, this event has gotten to be a joke at 2k to win. It used to be a huge deal for lates and mods.

The 2k to win was last year. It hasn't been announced what it will be this year yet.

Why would they schedule on top of Fairbury? UMP just loves to shoot themselves in the foot.

I think FALS should start a Queen of Hearts raffle with the proceeds going to making the Frenzy one of the highest paying races of the year, or maybe free spectator admission. Either one would kill the attendance at Lincoln. Drawing every Sat night, with the driver that wins the feature of the class you are headlining that week, drawing the ticket.

Lets make it the UMP support class nationals.

Any rain outs would then turn into a big Queen of Hearts party. Finally a way for a rain out to still be productive.
