"More than several cars come to I-80 from Illinois."

Several (definition): More than two, but not many.

        More than several = MANY

2019 SDN drivers from Illinois: B-Shepp, Dennis Erb Jr., Pierce, and Babb. (Three of them made the feature in '19)

Yes, hope for bad weather at Sycamore...just so YOU can have one more car show up at I-80??? While you're at it, wish for a flood at Knoxville too.

God forbid little 'ol Sycamore, which is 6 hours and 45 mins away from I-80 hold a 4k to win SLM race the same weekend as the SDN!?!?

Yes, EVERY track within 500 miles of Greenwood, NE should cancel racing July 25th because HUSKER says so.

I figured you would be one of the first to chime in. I actually had Nathan chiming in first. Congrats!!

Im gonna lay it out for you......

95 percent of Lucas oil field that races that weekend comes from East of I-80. We have virtually no open cars west of the track. Unless you count Cody Laney. Lol. So..... pretty much everybody is already closer to that race than not.

While I should’ve included Eastern Iowa in my original post as we still have a handful that come. It really doesn’t make that much of a difference.

I already see two drivers that have I-80 on the schedule that will probably switch. I don’t blame them. It’s about dollars and making it to the next race. If Shirley wasn’t running Lucas, he probably run those shows also. Feger used to come until Farmer City moved that race up a few days. What about guys like the Simpsons, Mars, Babb, and Pierce? I don’t blame those guys one bit. That race is a lot closer to the house for them.

So, most definitely that race could have a big impact on I-80. I’m selfish about I-80 because that’s our one weekend to have a big race. We don’t have multiple big events like FALS, Eldora, or Wheatland. We need all the cars we can get. 53 cars are walking away with $1500 minimum Saturday night. I’m not full of (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) and that’s not a typo.

Most of all, I’m tired of seeing races scheduled just to be scheduled. Seeing a lot with regional series now. Somebody in Michigan last year scheduled a race on top of the World 100. Who fuking does that? Fast forward to this year, Boyd’s scheduled a 2 day 5k to win show. Heats on Saturday/Features on Sunday. Why in the hell? On the other side of the state you have a Lucas show. That’s idiotic, especially in February.

10 years ago..... nothing was scheduled I-80. Now it seems that’s the weekend everybody wants to jump on.

I know you probably aren’t gonna agree with me, that’s cool. I’m just giving my opinion on it from my perspective in the western half of the late model world.

Several, according to its dictionary definition means “more than two but not many”, so a few but not a couple. And some, according to the dictionary means “an unspecified amount or number”.

There are plenty of cars for both events. It gives more guys a chance to win some decent money.

After what one of the track personal said about Izzo on Facebook hoping them Mars Dirt Series fails under Tony.
I won't say anything and let them do the talking.
I've been to sycamore and few times and wasn't really impressed.
That's why I bet they scheduled an ultimate race and not MARS Racing Series race which is more in this region.
Something tells me there was a falling out a few years back when Tony tried to help them with their 1st big Late Model race.
It rained out the 1st time and reschedule.
The 1st time they had about 20 or so late models & Modifieds.
When they reschedules they got maybe 15 Late Models and 13 Modifieds.
I remember they called the track a 1/2 mile.
When I seen it the first time I knew right away in no way shape or form was it any where close to a 1/2 mile.
                Maybe 1/3 mile at best.

I'm skeptical of the Ultimate Race and how many cars they might actually get.
Sycamore's not a UMP Sanctioned Weekly Late Model track.
                Just special event races.
Ultimate isn't a DIRTcar / UMP Sanctioned series.
The Track is in an area with not very many late models as is.
Will they get any UMP Cars.
I'm not sure with Fairbury 2 hours south and drivers may use that as a tune up for the Prairie Dirt Classic the following week.
They might get a few Wisconsin cars and the locals that race at Sycamore but I don't see them get much more then that at most.
Not to be mean but I think they will only hurt them selves in the long run.

I agree, you'll most likely only have the usual guys show up is about it. A good chance for the local teams to gain a buck. You might get a few cherry pickers but I'm fairly certain this race won't damper knox or I 80's turn out...

Tracks in Ohio schedule on world 100 weekend and even have supers. World 100 ain't what once was with new format. Little guy don't stand chance anymore and too expensive of weekend.

Combining the entries from the last 3 years to make your argument seem somewhat stronger is at a level retarded I’ve never seen before.

At least a 1/3 of these guys haven’t been since 2017, some don’t race late models anymore. Heck some don’t even race at all. Once you narrow it down to guys that actually came last year. I could get close to 10 guys. Which takes the count from 49 to around 40. Christ I even named some of them in my 2nd post.

Went to a lot of work to make yourself look completely stupid.
