Husker,
As usual, you missed the point...entirely. Only 4 drivers from IL attended the PDC in 2019, and that is unlikely to change with or without races at Sycamore and Knozville. Yet, you still found it within yourself to wish ill-will towards another track, and make it all about you, in true jack@$$ fashion.
B-Shepp and Dennis Erb Jr. have off of WoO SDN weekend. I'd be shocked if they're not at I-80. Pierce isn't going to pass up a chance to defend his title at the SDN to go to Sycamore for 4k. If Babb believes he can make the show, then I'm sure you'll see him at I-80 as well. Feger hasn't been to I-80 for what 2-3 years, so that's a moot point. Shirley...put it at 50/50.
Stop whining about how there's no SLM presence out your way. I-80 is getting 50 cars for a 50k+ to win show. That's in line with a number of other events in today's SLM world.
Ask yourself...do you really want to pay your hard earned $ to watch any driver who shows up at the SDN, just to show up??
I'm sure you'd rather see 45-50 quality cars/drivers who all are capable of making the show. Knoxville and Sycamore's events that weekend will not impact that.
Anyone who races at Knoxville or Sycamore that weekend, wasn't going to win the SDN. You're out nothing.
Take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy another GREAT SDN in 2020. It's gonna be alright.

I didn’t miss your point. I was giving just my side of the argument. I will admit you’ve talked me off the ledge with your above post. I’m selfish about racing this way and I just want the one weekend we are on stage to be perfect.Originally posted by Zonks32x View PostHusker,

I wouldn't worry about the Ultimate show taking cars away from I-80. Farmer City has had a $3k show on that Friday for a while now, and it's basically a glorified weekly show.
About my Harvest 50 comment...
I wasn't at all worried about Sycamore taking cars from Knoxville. I was questioning why they would schedule a big race on a weekend when probably none of the big names would be there. Why not schedule it for Sunday and maybe pick up some cars after Knoxville? I want all special events to be successful. That's why I'm so critical sometimes about time management and weather monitoring (sometimes too much in the heat of the moment). I'm over what happened last year. In fact, I was planning on going to the Harvest 50 last year had it not rained out. I probably should've phrased my comment differently, but I was about to head out the door to go to my side job at the time and didn't take the time to elaborate.Opinions are my own. last call: it isn't the car count that should worry anyone. it's the promotors that are taking a risk. obviously sycamore is willing to take the chance. and I don't think joe is too worried about the gate at I-80 that weekend.
good luck husker. I enjoy your juvenile name calling. reassures me that your arrogance and ignorance is just a superficial keyboard warrior coverup for your insecurities. can you walk away now?And the days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, well, I have really good days - Ray Wylie Hubbard
