Just because you see empty seats dosen't mean a race is not sold out. I'm sure the race is sold out. I have known people (1 person) who buys like 20 tickets for a Nascar race and then tries to sale the tickets the day before or the day of the race for more dollars. This happens all the time. The race is sold out when all the tickets are bought. Dosen't matter who's there.

If he’s still doing that he’s losing money hand over fist. Every ticket I’ve bought in last 5 years has cost usually 1/3 of face value on ticket.

They’ve also removed a bunch of seats, so far less tickets to account for. I believe I’ve sat in Daytona seats twice in the last two weeks (Golden Isles and Volusia), even though I haven’t been to Daytona.

Just for the record, they have a ticket program where they get the same ticket next year. If you can't go on Monday. Still sucks, but it's something. Probably be amazed how many people show up Monday.
