Wild West Shootout tire rule change for 2021

They are allowing 1350's across the front and a LM40 option RR.

    I like it!

Hahaha. The locals don't like it much, but D-55's aren't used much except out west here.

At the end of the day it was about money. The overwhelming majority of the cars that was there use 1350's. The wrs tire is usless to almost every car there. We purchased 12 before we left home and got 10 more after we got there. We now have 22 tires we can't give away. Everything we dismounted to make the trip (24 in all) were 1350's. It's the correct decision for all the teams. Kind of odd this is just now coming out. Chris was telling all the teams this before the Sunday finale.

This is no surprise. They said it over the speakers and talked about it with Birky. They all said it’s the best move.

Slmcrewchief. In this down time you can make a set up for guys to mount there Iracing set ups on. Lay a heating element on the inside of the tire so they can smell some burning rubber. Woo hoo.

How many of them are worth something on the secondary market? What will the used 1350 look like next year?

Most of the fronts and LR's are sellable. The RR is what gets blistered. I see very little difference in tire wear going to the 1350. You have to keep the RR wrs tire hot and you slide it alot. I don't think anyone has any RR tires to sell.

We will come home next year with plenty of used tires but we will at least be able to use a few to start the year.
