Those antibody tests have you on the right track, but they were done in hot spots. By August, probably 15 million Americans will have been infected. Say we have 70k deaths. That's still 4x as bad as the flu. Is that bad enough to wreck the country, in my opinion, no.

The only reason the mortality rate is about the same as the flu is because, of the stay at home orders. Had not been for that it would be much worse. One only needs to look at Italy to see that the deaths went from over 200 to over 4,000 in a 2 week period.

I understand about wanting to get people back to work but, they better make sure they have plenty of testing before they do or we could end right back where we are.

Maybe you didn't see my post above. One study in one county isn't necessarily reflective of the country as a whole.
If this ends up being true I'll have no problem admitting it.

And, we didn't know how bad it was gonna be in the beginning. Any info we get now wasn't helping us on March 10.

We won't really know until more states start more testing in the thousands to get the full picture but, I believe the experts were right in getting us to start social distancing and that is paying big dividends so far. I'm ok with opening the economy slowly with lots of testing.

I don't disagree with the fact we achieved good either. Hospitals would have been overrun all over the country. We need to reopen with that in mind, as we go forward.

The elected officials don't have the power. Only we the people and the Constitution have the power. Their job is to protect the Constitution, not push their lefty agenda.
