Iam pretty sure that the Late Models are wissota/ NASCAR rules so I doubt Illinois cars would come but I could be wrong

Incorrect. Cedar Lake's LM rules allow open late model engines.

With a restrictor plate and 8,250 chip if your running a full blown aluminum engine. That's not open LM engine.

Cedar Lake has done a good job with their rules to allow multiple sanctions of modifieds to compete with each other. On any regular night of racing there are Wissota, USRA/USMTS modifieds racing against each other. This area does not have many open LM teams so I cannot say if the rules are good or not. Mars races a Wissota car at tracks up here.
