Lucas Oil/Cherokee/Confederate flag

Hearing that Lucas oil has made Cherokee speedway take down the confederate flag in order to have the race this weekend. Heard no more confederate flags at a Lucas Oil event.

I personally don’t see how Lucas Oil can enforce (if this is true)- they don’t own the tracks. They can force the tracks to not have them -but what about spectators/campers ??

Exactly. His average start in 4 yrs of Cup is 24th and his average finish is 23rd. Has led 23 laps.

Pennsboro — I don’t think The North/South or the DTWC needs Lucas at this point. Too many provisionals for touring drivers.
If truth be known - neither one of those races are paying Lucas sanctioning fees? Lucas is just happy to have their name on the event! I am probably dead wrong - but heck- it’s not the first/last time.

It wasn't that long ago that Josh king said he didn't need Lucas. This was back when the event was unsanctioned. Something made him change his tune. I guarantee it wasn't to be charitable to Lucas.

Agree with you. If truth be known Josh isn’t paying any fees to Lucas & they are furnishing tech inspectors, personnel and advertising for free to to have their name on this marquee event??

The risk of running unsanctioned is that one or both tours will schedule against you.

If this is true then I will NOT renew my lucas oil tv next year. This PC BS is getting old. If someone is racist with a Confederate flag and you take it away then you have a racist without a Confederate flag. Nothing changed that matters.
