Looking at pics of this place after the owner dumped 18 mil into it it looks like a bucket list track. Absolutely beautiful. https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en...oiowEnoECBgQBg

Not to point out the obvious...but you don't need a math degree to figure out that the last owner pumping $18 mil into a dirt track in BFE was a bad idea.
You can't possibly sell enough tickets and hot dogs to make that work.
He needed 900,000 people to visit the joint and profit $20/person just to break even. That's 18 years if they averaged 50,000 fans/year...in SOUTH DAKOTA!!
Best of luck to the new owners.

Tod has moved all of Jackson Motorplex races to Husets the rest of the year. I heard they were fined $10,000 for selling way to many tickets to the Jackson Nationals. I’m sure next year Jackson with be Friday, Knoxville on Saturday, Husets on Sunday for 410 Sprints. Tod has got into the LateModels the last 3 years and hopefully both of his tracks will have 2 or 3 Late Model shows next year. It’s about 90 miles between Jackson and Husets so it’s a really great set for running 2 tracks.

Zonks, don’t underestimate the Sioux Falls, SD market. Metro area is likely over 200k by now and they’re sprint car fans. Place drew very well when it was Husets. Agreed, not sure what this most previous owner saw to throw that kind of money at it but he has made some curious moves in general over the years.I hate time trials.

They drew 3000-5000 fans every Sunday night for years for there weekly shows. I believe they had somewhere around 10,500 fans for Tony Stewart night 5 or 6 years ago. Yes it’s a great market for Sprint Car racing. I would look for big things in the next year. You can basically run any type of show and very large purses when the place holds 10,000 to 12,000 fans. I bet there towers for VIP seats hold another 500 or more fans at a much higher price tag. The right guy bought it and it will be back bigger than ever soon.
