Some observations about tonight's WoO race

1) Sheppard almost bit the big one early on w/ Tyler Millwood who looked strong first five laps, some guys have all the luck, don't they ?
2) Felt good to see Dennis Erb Jr run so well tonight along with Dillard and Winger
3) Gotta feel bad for " The Tickler ", he was running so good even with a LF tire going down throughout the race.
4) Is there anyone better on restarts than Brandon Overton ?
and finally #5
5) Rick Eshelman only said " no doubt about it " four times tonight....ya' disappointed me Rick, I had 7 in the pool

Overton has pretty much won or been a threat to win everything he's entered this year it seems. Flats or little "gremlins" are about all that have stopped him.

Yes, my video went out for about five minutes, but I only missed two laps of the race and it is totally refreshing to see a first time winner, Zack Mitchell smoked them tonight from his outside pole starting spot, came outa' turn 2 on the first lap and just took off, survived a few cautions, and beat McDaddy and the Bluegrass Bandit to the line.

That female announcer @ Volunteer sure has got the talent for our sport, I think her name is Tiffany, and not bad on the eyes either !

Bloomer continues to get back into the swing of things taking fourth. Overton made an early run but couldn't get by Bloomer for fifth, and Ashton Winger continues to impress for a rookie finishing sixth, and the Tickler came home seventh after his wild weekend, he's only going to get better, its between him and Winger who will get their first WoO this season hopefully, Sheppard couldn't get going tonight starting 3rd and finishing eighth.

Junghans finished 9th, while Vic Hill and unknown Forrest Trent cam home 10th and 11th, that young Trent looked awfully good tonight.

And oh yes, for those of you curious, Eshelman said " no doubt about it " (8) times tonight, more than last night

Off to the Firecracker, looking forward to that !

Well that worked out for a last minute move. Ultimate pulled out at 311 today and zack is leading points in that series otherwise he would have raced 311 tonight.

Funny thing was 311 charged $30 in stands for original show. For rain date they charged $20 then ultimate bailed and they kept $20 for reg show. They gave weather as reason for postponing show. It was 50% rain but skys cleared up this evening. Good for zack as hes been running good lately

Well, I don't know much about the Ultimate policies, but yes, it was awfully clear something was up if the skies cleared later on like that, hell they had two downpours at Volunteer and they raced Friday night after about a 1.5 hour delay. But I'm xtremely happy for Zack, between him and Bailes, there's two drivers that should be running on a national circuit ! They're that dammed good !
