I don't think most people know how much the touring guys get. Both financially and product. It's tough being on the road but their is a reason they do it. Look at guys like dennis erb. He wouldnt do it if it wasn't a good move financially. And I'm a huge overton fan but to claim he's gonna give Sheppard and company all they could handle because he cleaned up on the southern nationals is laughable.
B Shepp gonna need some CrossFit

Ahhhhh weren't the 2 of them at east bay. Enough said. If Overton went out on either tour I believe he would be a serious threat to win the title. They pick there battles, and if it's working for them fianancially, that's what you do.

You guys seem to forget that Overton did run the WoO for a couple years. He did not give Richards or Sheppard all he could handle.Last edited by Josh Bayko; 07-27-2020, 11:30 AM.

He did it with a team in over their heads. Is Overton himself good enough to win either tour? Absolutely. He's one of the best in America. It takes more than that though.Originally posted by Josh Bayko View PostYou guys seem to forget that Overton did run the WoO for a couple years. He attempted to run the WoO with the 116 when that car was a top notch ride. It did not go well, like, at all.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View PostHe did it with a team in over their heads. Is Overton himself good enough to win either tour? Absolutely. Don’t get it twisted, I think he’s super talented, but I think he’s at his best when he’s on an outlaw schedule and can have the car set on kill at tracks he knows well. He’s lethal at that.

That's not a fair comparison. Even though Overton has had solid rides, he didn't gel well with them. Overton seems to have found his fit with the Wells gang. However you're right, nobody would be beating that 1 car in a points battle at the moment.Originally posted by Josh Bayko View PostYou guys seem to forget that Overton did run the WoO for a couple years. That was an abbreviated attempt, at best, with a team that collapsed and owed money. I will take your word they didn't drop off before that, but I thought they did.Originally posted by Josh Bayko View PostThe year the team split up they had run every show to that point.Last edited by MasterSbilt_Racer; 07-27-2020, 11:58 AM.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing
