Cancelled. On their website they state they have power lines down from the severe thunderstorm.

2:30 was fine with me. Only a hour drive. Can't imagine anyone would drive 3 hours with a chance of nasty weather.8/13/16

They were warning people farther east for this since like 11 am or around Noon. It takes a while for a Derecho to weaken or dissipate. It's a long standing event. Likely for even 3-4 more hrs still. That would be close to a 9-10 weather event2020 race count:
1/2 of an event

Legit for cancelling this one. Still 100,000 people without power in Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities area as of 1am. Major damage all over the place. Trees and wires everywhere.

The first race shouldn't have had to be been canceled. Family that runs the place cant get along and the brother thatdid the track left the week before. The rest of the family had no clue how to do the track and tilled the track up so the rain could soak in real good.....As the track was opened up the night before they got a rain storm and the tilled up track took all the rain !Track should have been sealed up Saturday and ready for such a big show !They had a bunch of cars in the pits that beautiful Sunny Sunday ....... SAD Deal

I was there the first time around but never got to see the track. I was surprised they didn't just make it a non-points show, and if you wanted to run, great...if not, so be it. It wouldn't have been the first time for that scenario at a SN show, but I have no idea how or who makes that decision.
I would like to see it rescheduled. It's a fun little track (from what I remember) that I don't get to run regularly.
