It is not a "LM show". It is an event to highlight all of their classes. Thus, the higher admission.

I used to love this race when it was at Eldora, but the weather always seemed to kill it.

2 different races.... the Springfield Mile Race was the Illinois Fall Nationals... the Race at Eldora and this race at Lincoln is the UMP Fall Nationals....

They ran on Saturday and Sunday. Normally had 130 to 170 mods and 60 to 80 late models. A 2 day pit pass was $40 and the stands were $20 then they went to I think in 2006 after Tony bought it to 5,000 to win for both and Friday and Saturday and they lost alot of cars went to 140 mods and 50 late models and then when they went to the 3 day thing in 2013 it went down to 105 mods and 25 late models. Now once it has left Eldora it has really fallen such a shame. It was a great race back in its hayday.
Eldora doesn't like to run races if the crowds are under 15,000. lol

I think if it went back to Eldora and paid 10,000 to win and 1,000 to start for late models and 5,000 to win and 500 to start for mods and kept the 2 day pit pass at $40 and the stands at $20 and ran Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon you would see 130 mods and 40 or so Super Lates and get alot of fans. When you cut purses then move the schedule fans and drivers wont come.

We are definitely trying to go in a positive direction for the Super Late Models. We added a good amount of money to this year's purse, compared to last year, going from $2k to win to $3k with additional money throughout the field. We can only hope it continues to go up from there.
