Nascar is just trying to get the fans that left during the glory days to come back and they think cause the WOO guys had success at Bristol they will too. Well I think this will be a cluster and will be a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) show. I don't see the Nascar boys doing anything exciting or even trying to pass cause those pretty boys are afraid of the dirt and are afraid of a little beating and banging

Well Petty decides to come out and say nascrap is on a much higher level than to stope so low as to race on a dirt track. Richard your a face to the 43 team, that's it nothing more. They moved out of level cross years ago. Some millionaire by the name of Murstein owns that team. Petty possibly owns the number, but he sure as heck has zero input in decision making.

Bit disappointed in Richard. I guess the 50s and 60 with the likes of Jr. Johnson and Tiny Lund was more “professional”.

Bristol is the nicest high school football stadium I’ve ever seen.

I just don't get why Petty would speak out about dirt track racing. I guess when he got up there to the "big leagues" he forgot where he started and how he got to be where he was.

Well, if anyone knows about trying to capitalize on a Gimmick it's Petty.

                      Richard Petty says:

Dirt racing is not professional and that most dirt tracks are dry/slick like pavement now a days.

He's right about the second part for the most part. The first part you could probably argue here and there

Hiring a publicity stunt driver who isn't even competitive isn't professional either, but here we are RPM.

A monkey could of won in that 43 back in the day... lapping the field because you have twice the ponies something to be really proud of.

I loved Petty back in the day but it’s probably time for him to retire .... to go spend more time with his family. Outlaws and Lucas Oil are ran better than Petty realizes. I’d not call either of those organizing bodies “Contrived” racing ..... like other big series we know.
