    MLRA Tri City

So what drivers will skip the DTWC and come to Tri City?

IMO...the only drivers who would skip a $100K to win show would only do so because they don’t have confidence in their current equipment to compete.

I wouldn't technically say that. It's more economical if you were in IL area to run for a combined $14k instead of driving all the way to southeast Ohio and run against 50-60 cars on a historically terrible track just to make the show. Most likely with out the chance of a provisional either.

The DTWC pays $2,000 to start, so there is a much better chance of making money at Tri-City for guys around Illinois with a ton less cost associated with travel.

That track in Ohio has sucked too. Tri-City will be on point as always.

I think there might be a slim chance Shirley could get a provisional.

I’ve seen many times Tri-City not be good whether it’s rough or taking rubber in the heats. It hasn’t been as good the last few years.

But if it don’t rain, good chance on the second night it’ll be locked down come feature time.

And I’d like to go back. Good setting for a track, easy drive for me, Holiday Inn is nice, BW’s is cool, and if the track is on point it is very fast.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Shirley was very good there last year, probably a top 3 car if he didn't break early. Jason has ran good there in the past. Both are somewhat surprising. Out of the Illinois bunch, those are 2 id expect to come, outside of Bshep of course.

Babb staying home with the Bloomer chassis is probably the biggest surprise.
