Well Golden Isles has cancelled their Lucas Oil Superbowl of Racing in Jan. Say too many covid cases in the region. So the first of the Speedweeks races to fall. I’m sure there will be more.

I’m 15 miles from GIS. They haven’t raced there since the Superbowl of Racing in February 2020 but yes i agree. I think there is more to it. Rumor is Lucas wanted to buy it from the Langdales and they wouldn’t sell it.Originally posted by ZERO25 View PostDont believe one second of it! If you have noticed, the owners had cut the reg season to once a month!
That doesnt fare well with paying customers or race teams!
ps......Im 75 miles from the joint, thats bs!

Easier money and way less work to just rent the track out to any teams that want to test.

It's roughly two months away almost right? Something smells fishy. And it ain't blackies twin girls friends.2020 race count:

I had heard a few years ago, that the people that own the track, also own the huge port lots that are near the track. Is this still the case? It was told at that time, that the money made off of port lots was absolutely stupid amounts of cash. They weren't even wanting to keep the track open at that time either. If any of this is true, I can't believe it's still held these races year in, and year out.
