Stalwart has posted that he has decided to sell Volunteer Speedway because of lack of time to devote to the track and his construction business. He states that it will continue to operate until sold.

In my opinion a better track than Bristol, JMO.

I hope somebody buys it, who has the time, resources and the dedication to take care of it.

i remember when The Gap was one of the premier tracks in the country. It would be nice to see it that way again.

I live in the area and I am afraid if sold it will be for commercial development and not a race track. The real estate agent (Adrian Greene) owns Caldwell Banker Reality and he does a lot of big commercial developments. At the price they are asking- it doesn’t look appealing to someone for a racing facility.
But -that’s just my opionion and opinions are like tail holes- everybody has one.
