      Very sad to hear.

Take a look on DoD, a lot of great pics of Mike.

At least he can see his wife and Mike Jr again. I feel the pain of his daughters and grandchildren, it sucks losing your Dad/Pa Paw.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

My favorite memory of him was at Penton, Al. in the early 90's I think. Big wreck on the initial start. Head comes in with the left rear shock broke off the car. Crew guy tells him it is gone. Head tells them to duct tape a wheel chock to the frame rail over the axle tube. Goes back out and wins the race. After the race everybody was like "how did that happen?". Head said, "that left rear just holds it up in the pits." He was a great guy and will be missed.

What a great man and sad day for our sport I flipped in a heat race one night at Moulton and Mike let me use his car to get my start money. He was such a nice person.

I will miss him, he taught me a lot about life and racing. Losing too many from that era, First it was Leon Sells, then his nephew Stan Massey and now Mike Head...

                R.i.p.

Rest in peace Mike Head. I saw him race many times in the 90s with my Dad. A prayer said for his family.
