Watched the best Sprints and Late Models back in the early 80's at I-70, at the time it was the only show to draw all the names in both divisions (WoO, All-Stars with sprints, NDRA and others in Late Models). The second year I went it rained, track was rough as a plowed field-tore up all kinds of cars. Bad fast track though, high-banked and big!

Pretty good WOO Sprint Car race at I-70 tonight. They did a great job reviving that place. I'd bet that it would've been crazy fast if left it's original size!

I've done some work in that area lately, and noticed it is pronounced, laincaster. The s seems a little short.

Lankastah is how the young lady that lives in the area told me to say it.....that turn 4 grand stand area was like a soccer match with all the chanting and such when Timbo took the track. ?..was really cool to see and hear all that.....I've been a few times and have never been disappointed even though I figured I would be just because of the size and shape of the track.

They really haven’t had a bad race all year. The Reutzel/Johnson started the night before at Jacksonville. Johnson hit a rut and flipped while a straightaway ahead of Reutzel, but for whatever reason Reutzel slid into Johnson when he got there and blamed Wayne. Then Johnson called him a prick in the interview.
