They have finally released the new app available for download for all platforms, including Apple! It looks like they will start charging again in three weeks and anyone grandfathered into the $59.99 yearly plan will still be eligible (just don't let it lapse!).
What you need to do to get started is create a new password. You can do this via this link- https://mavtvplus.com/account/forgot-password/ Type in your email address on record and you will then receive an email to reset your password. After that you'll then see your account info which shows your renewal info.
