I didn’t think having a MARS race was a good idea from the start of the season. The track sort of had a bad reputation and stigma attached to it to due to 1 not so good promoters running in the last 15 years. It may be one of my two home tracks along with Plymouth but I know that track all to well. The Summer Nationals race there a few years ago was ok but none great in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully down the road things will improve. Track has a tone of potential to be a good track, it just needs the right folks to run it. They finally got new clay for the first time in a long time over the late winter early spring. If they get a full field of cars most will be UMP Pro Late Models as they run there weekly. It’s not a bad track just real hillbilly and red neck.
