That was one of the roughest and rutted up Wheatland surfaces I have ever seen. The track crew tried with heavy rains several weeks prior it gave them little chance for a smooth surface. There was a huge hole on the topside going into turn one that had several cars bouncing on two wheels. Yes the track was challenging but it was racey.

I was not there , but I saw the telecast and I did notice how rough the topside was . RocketShepp put on quite a show moving up to second with his family owned B5 and was closing on the leader at the end of the race.
