I guess if you'd never ever been to a race in person you might have thought it was ok but for the real race fans it was terrible, like they'd just picked a bunch of drivers out of the old folks' home.
I was impressed with Fisher, the young Trans Am guy I'd never heard of, and 19 year old Hailey Deegan who ran very well all night, was one of only a couple who didn't step on their you-know and ended up with a very nice 2nd to Stewart. May be a bright future for her.
Glad I'm not the fiberglass guy for that series. He's going to earn his $.

Funny true story. Last night before the SRX race, (I didn’t even know it was on) a buddy of mine call me out of the blue, all excited, said he had an extra ticket from his work to this thing at Eldora next Saturday called the new SRX series, also on tap are the Silver Crown cars from USAC --- and asked me if I wanted to go using the extra ticket.

After a short pause, I said sure I’ll go, it will be fun --- knowing I don’t really care for Eldora, I think the SRX series is kind of hokey, BUT I do like Silver Crown cars so that’s a plus. I’m guessing the SRX lap times will be slower than the Modifies and a tick faster than the street stocks. Oh well, it will be fun to hang out with friends at a race track considering last year.
