Format sucks for smaller budget teams and gone are the 200+ cars.

I wouldn't blame the format. I'd blame it on the out of control costs in general.

ya if the cars were $45,000 you might see 100 plus. But you would have to go back to the Friday and Saturday program. and Maybe make the World 100 a Saturday only race.

That list of 76 was a pre-entry list from a couple days ago. Several teams don't pre-enter. There are names that are there or will be there, that are not on the pre-entry list.

It is actually better not to have 200 cars IMO. Have 80 or so and you have a potential for a great show. It certainly is expensive and there are teams that just don't want to spend that much. Makes sense.

The days of the 20 car heats are gone and in my opinion, that is a good thing
half of the cars were there just to say they were there. Most of the heats were filled with caution flags. I remember several years when cars that were capable of winning the feature were taken out by JUNK in the heat .
