Yes he did. The lead changed hands 4 times on the last lap. Heck of a finish.

That was one of the best Topless 100s start to finish that I've seen. I thought the racetrack was pretty much perfect tonight, black top to bottom but didn't take rubber. They raced all over it for 100 laps. Good job to Mooney and crew, as well as to Hudson O'Neal. Dude can wheel a racecar! I don't think Owens and T-Mac knew that outside was there til O'Neal drove by em. And then Davenport at the end, I don't know if I've seen anyone charge the corners at Batesville as hard as he did the last lap and it stick. Fun fact: no one had ever won the Topless and its sister-event the Show-Me in the same year til tonight.

They put new dirt on the track this year, and it looks like it really helped the racing surface.
