I saw that after 20 years, this will be Jeff Curl's last weekend racing. He's a good guy. It's sad to see another one go. I wish him luck this weekend and moving forward!

Just had a picture of the track sent to me. It's bad... I'll be surprised if they race tomorrow.

Pontiac had 3.8 inches as of 9:30am and it sounds like it poured not too long ago.

We in NorCal drool over 4" in our parched fire prone area. We're finally starting to get a few droplets as yesterday and today we got a grand total of .33" (that's point three three inches). Some 370 miles south it's bone dry and the Bud Nationals in Bakersfield is running tonight and tomorrow night. It's on low budget TV pay per view if anyone wants to check out some western racing.

Our Tri State Pro Stock touring group is on the program as a non points race along with A and B Sport Mod, Hobby Stocks and a couple f other classes. We took a pass this year as my boy went down there for a tuneup show a few weeks ago and had our usual struggle with a very slick track (hooked up & fast is more where our older car shines) and I'm pretty busy around the ranch repairing fences and irrigation damage from our August fire which spared our 3 houses and leveled over 140 homes in our area. Besides I've had about enough 7-900 mile rides for the season. Only going to run about 2 more races this season, one being the Taxi Challenge at Marysville 45 minutes from home and a November final points show at the 4/10th Stockton Dirt Track 90 miles south.

I was born and raised in the Midwest so am pretty aware of how fickle the weather can be. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a middle ground between too much and too little any more. The weather certainly ain't what it used to be.
