167 Cars @ Talladega Last Night!

The annual Ice Bowl Qualifier was held at the Talladega Short Track last night and had a stellar 167 cars for a regular Saturday night show, 167!

Tim Busha won the best Super Late Model feature at TST in 2021, a 3-car lead swapping gem on a nicely prepared surface that had 3 raceable grooves.

We finished after midnite you comedians. Since we had a monster field of cars that backed up Speedway Blvd in both directions, we pushed back hot laps till 7:30PM. There were a number of red flags due to major racing pile ups that cost us time but over all, after hot lapping 167 cars, qualifying "only" the Supers, then running 22 qualifying heat races, then features, it was not all that bad. The racing was good, the fans got their $ worth for a $10.00 dollar ticket.

Track was right, Adam and crew have done great things.
