Dirt tracks near Durham, NC?

Does anyone know of any dirt tracks near Durham, NC that will be racing this Friday? I'm going to be out there for the weekend and I'd like to catch a race while I'm in town.

Nothing I can think of that would be racing on a Friday. Not a lot of dirt tracks near there, maybe County Line speedway on Saturday?

Durham to cherokee is rougly 3 hours, the way cherokee has been the last few years..its barely worth a 30 minute drive. Fayetteville is racing saturday, probably 90 minutes from you.

Lake view sc has a cool race Saturday night….maybe a few hours away.

Friday night?? Millbridge maybe?

Should you decide to go to Gaffney take I40 to Hickory and then go down. Charlotte traffic on a Friday afternoon will do nothing but tick you off.

Your only concern while staying in Durham should be just to try to stay alive. That place is getting to be like Chicago.

You’ve never been to Chicago I take it? Durham has definitely roughened up around the edges over the last 20 years…..but Chicago? Nope, Durham not even in the same realm of sheet hole ness.

Does Carolina Speedway still race Friday nights? My wife and I went so we could say we had been to a track in N.C. Ate at the BBQ King before the races also!

Carolina does still race on Friday nights but are off this weekend I’m sure for Cherokee’s big race.
