In November 2002, he was working on a leaf spring tube chassis late model car. I saw it when we were picking up our z-bar car. I don't know what ever happened to that car. He told me that leaf springs were faster,they just weren't as adjustable from track to track.

CJ was from a simpler time in dirt late model racing , along with several others whom have passed on , they provided the foundation for what we have today , whether one looks at it as good or bad , either way RIP Mr. Rayburn , you will be missed .......Comment

I got to talk cj in the the big circle we seemed to have around him very laughable fellow loved to tell stories people loved to listen and one that could stand up for himself and very well respected.
