Kidding fly, enjoy it no matter how it tastes….you won’t find it at any of the tracks you visit.
There are no better strawberries on earth than those sweet feb. sunshine state berries….you will be happy you stopped at a roadside stand to take a quart or 10 home.

You're right about Kokomo Speedway. The deputy and ticket taker look you over like an x-ray machine. Always looking for that bottle of water people might sneak in so they can nab you. Waiting to be frisked. It must pain them on USAC nights when NOS is giving away free cans of energy drinks and fans can bring one into the track.

PPMS is a sh*thole now. We went one time and a group of guys sitting beside us brought in some KFC that they had stuffed in a plastic bag. Well somehow the law found out and came up and ejected the whole group that was eating the KFC.

You description is spot on, Dirt Clod.

The upside to all that scrutiny upon entry is that fact that Kokomo regularly produces the best racing you'll see in the Midwest, bar none. I reckon I can get past the over the top eyeballing you get on the way in the gate when the racing is as good as it is at KS!!

They act like no other rules with their dictator like rules. I was working in the pits. Our feature was over and we were all loaded up on the trailer and ready to leave. I had family in the stands so I wanted to round them up and head home [3 hr drive] . The A holes wouldn't even let me into the bleachers to grab up my family ! ! They told me that I would have to buy a general admission ticket to go in there while they ran the last feature. The fact that I had paid even more money for my pit pass wasn't good enough for them believe it or not ! ! I was in shock that anybody would be that greedy [ and stupid] !! That alone makes me believe that it is KARMA that the place has deteriated so much with its rotten bleachers and low car counts. Most of the late model features only had enough cars in them to only look like it was a heat race running a feature ! On a track that big it don't create much excitement because that few of cars get spread out so far apart. It is so sad because the track could have been a contender for greatness if they would have given a crap about the drivers and fans........

I’ve seen them drying the track with an airboat before…..if it can be gotten in after rain, it will be.
Enjoy your trip, the place is just awesome with the atmosphere and normally the racing it produces.
Do yourself a favor and just walk the entire facility and take advantage of all of its unique viewing spots.

If you like pizza, they have Hungy Howies there. They prepare them from scratch and serve them fresh!It comes in a box, so you can carry it to your seat!The sausage dog with peppers and onions is another of my favorites!
