Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana lose a local racing Legend RIP #71 Bill Davis.

His old Wedge sty car sponsored by Dillon Enterprise

Bill Racing at Shadyhill Speedway in Medaryville, Indiana late in his career

Bill after one of his UMP Modified feature wins at Kankakee Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois

This car was Bill's Late Model from 1993. It was pulled out of the weeds and completely redone in mid 2019 by my good friend Mike Hollifield at Buzzard Race Cars in Wheeler, Indiana and was the pace car for the Super Late Model feature during the 2020 Kokomo Klash at the Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana

Bill you were a friend to so many in this area and a fierce competitor at any race track. God Speed.

RIP Bill, Watched him for years. He loved racing and would race anything. Would race 2 class a nite for a long time.

The Kankakee Daily Journal had a very good article about him titled "the racing bum" sounds negative but I think that was a quote from Bill. I always enjoyed watching him race. RIP
