Champion, sadly you are so right! The aero packages have made the late models usually a boring non-event race. Lets hope they removed some banking along the backstretch and in 3 and 4 making the racing groove wider and able to pass on. When Eldora is lightning quick, 3 and 4 are one fast groove and its like watching qualifying or paint drying, your choice!

Thinking this might be one of the better Super Late Model shows of the entire 2022 race season.
This show has all the makings of a great field of cars in all 3 classes.
Just guessing at this point if they get around 40 cars there will be 4 heats.
If they get 50+ cars there will be 6 heats.
Guessing right around 50-55 Super Late Models, 20-30 UMP Modifieds, & 20 Eldora Stocks.

Nathan, I think you are spot-on. It should be a good one, and more interesting to me as it will be a shorter distant race at Eldora than we are all use to seeing. Reminiscent of the old ALMS races back in the day.

Off topic question to anyone that can answer.

Beings how the feature will be shorter in distant than the usual 100 lappers, and it will be more up-on-the-wheel in my opinion --- will the engine packages be the same as the 100 lapper engine packages, or will they be different in any way?

The days of drivers using big hog motors are eldora haven't been around for quite awhile. They pretty much use the same stuff everywhere anymore.

I remember going back several years when drivers would qualify on Friday on alky and a bigger cubic inch engine, and would swap them out on Saturday at some point for a smaller cubic inch engine with a race fuel carb.
