Not sure if you follow the news but inflation is running rampant right now. I priced some farm tires yesterday and was shocked at the price they quoted me.

When you’re already overpriced it just looks worse when you go up like everything else.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Hoosier Tire - a company based on backdoor dealings AKA Purple Mafia. Would be nice if a good honest company like American Racer would be the tire of choice across America but Hoosier is too big to fail, which is why they charge whatever they want for a bad product. By and large AR's are cheaper and last longer but they don't have the foot hold on multiple disciplines of racing like Hoosier does.

Inflation is bad, but 36% in 8 months?

Was at the local speed shop the other day and the owner told me that Hoosier is now charging them a flat $20 per tire for shipping. Used to be only a few bucks for one or a whole truck load. Stopped making our favorite Dirt Bozz tires and a G60 IMCA tire is now $140. A 10" RC4 is right at $200. Good grief!!!

P.S. Our electric company, the notorious PG&E, got a 9% rate increase in January and another 12% last month. For the math dummies that's 21% in 3 months.

Depends on what tire your talking but I would say 5 years ago most where under or at 150.00 (130.00 to 150.00 range for most)

Middle of last year a crate 21 tire was 160ish and now 235.00

The biggest issue is even getting tires, Good luck on that one if you not a national series regular. Best you gonna do right now is go to track and hope the sanctioning body has tires and even then your limited to only a few tires.
