As a Spoon River "homer", growing up here as a child and continually attending events there, I'm excited for next week's race.
If you go back and listen to old Summer Nationals minutes done by Michael Rigsby, you hear him refer to Spoon River as a "Diamond in the Rough". It's definitely one of my favorite places to attend
Great weather mixed with an what is showing for potential entrants will make this a race that you won't want to miss. I, myself, can't wait. I've caught myself saying that many times in the last month or so.
